Several light bulbs, each of resistance 1.5 Ω, are connected in a series across a 120 V source of emf. If the current through the circuit is 2 A, how many light bulbs are there in the circuit?

Again: use Ohm's law... (also, you don't have to delete a question, once it's answered, you can just 'close' it)

i did just close it and how do i do the ohm's law with this one?

Whuuuaat? Where'd it go? o.O Anywhoo - the great thing about the simplification/model you are using is, that everything is linear in it. Meaning, if you got twice the resistance at a constant voltage, the current is just going to be half. Now you got the given resistance of one single resistor and just need to find the number n of resistors you need, to produce your given ratio of voltage to current..

okay thanks
