Yah it's the second one :)

The abbreviation should also give you some indication.
You'll find it on your calculator as the `log` button, not the `lo` button.

usually i just log and i say ln(x) as lawn(x)

I usually call ln(x) "log x"
because you rarely ever use any other base log through calculus :3

Thanks. It's always seemed backwards to me to say it as it looks, so thought I'd better check before I go and say something really stupid. =)
