If the triangles are similar, which ratio shows the relationship of the area of the larger triangle to the area of the smaller triangle? 3:2 2:1 3:4 4:1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2:1

help me out @1108 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no wait!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its 4:1 because the formula for area of triangle is bh/2 and since 6*4 is 24 and divide by 2 is 12 and the other triangle is 3*2= 6 divide by 2 is 3 then the area ratios are 4:1

Okay thank you ! I have another one if you can help me out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure
