what is the probability of rolling 10 with a pair of number cubes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please help im having a really hard time with this one

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

1) It is a silly question. "Number cubes"? Really? What numbers are on the cubes? "Standard dice"? Now THAT I understand. 2) How many numbers can result in the rolling?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there are 3 ways to get a ten

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\((4,6),(5,5),(6,4)\) are the three ways

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh thanks i got it now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and when you roll two dice there are \(6\times 6=36\) possible outcomes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah, back in the day we called these "dice"
