Given the domain values { -2, 0, 2 }, find the range values for the function y = 3x – 2. { -8, -2, 4 } { 8, -2, 4 } { 12, 0, -12 } none of the above

@robtobey @Agent_Sniffles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[y = 3x - 2\] \[y=3\times (-2)-2=-6-2=-8\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so \(-8\) is in the range now try with 0 \[y=3\times 0-2=0-2=-2\] and so \(-2\) is in the range

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and finally \[y=3\times 2-2=6-2=4\] and so \(4\) is in the range

OpenStudy (anonymous):

clear what to do right?
