Is there any relation between Earths gravitational field and gravitational field due to sun on earth.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you mean relation?!? if you kept an object in between earth and sun.. then you have to consider both the gravitational fields and use the superspoistion principle to find the effect of it.. so if you are asking me that whether the sun would distort the gravitational field (lines) of earth then YES it does..

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

both phenomena follow the same (Newton's ) Universal Law of Gravatation \[\boxed{F_{\text{Gravity}}=G\frac{M m}{r^2}}\] \(F_{\text{Gravity}}\) denotes the force due to gravity \([\text N]\) \(G\) is the gravatational constant \(=6.67\times10^{-11}[\text{N m}^2\text{ kg}^{-2}]\) \(M\) is the big mass \(m\) is the little mass \(r\) is the distance between the centers of mass

Can anyone help me with this...

idk sorry
