Write the equation in slope-intercept form. What are the slope and y-intercept? -11x + 9y = -12 i know slope intercept is y=mx + b so would -12 be m?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[-11x+9y=12\] add \(11x\) to both sides gives \[9y=11x-12\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then divide both sides by \(9\) to get \[y=\frac{11}{9}x-\frac{12}{9}\]or \[y=\frac{11}{9}x-\frac{4}{3}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now you can read off the answer, because it looks like \(y=mx+b\)

this makes much more sense
