what if the base is other than 10?
OpenStudy (campbell_st):
the standard calculators have base 10
if you press log 2 you should get 0.30... something
OpenStudy (bluesea24):
and what if u want to find log of a no with base other than 10?
OpenStudy (campbell_st):
you would need to use change of base...
\[\log_{a}{b} = \frac{\log_{10}(b)}{\log_{10}(a)}\]
this will allow you to find the log of any number in any base.
its works the same if you use base e rather than base 10...
OpenStudy (bluesea24):
awsum i got it .tried it on calc n it worked.u r a genius. ty.....:)
