Find the volume for the regular pyramid.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer has to have a square root in it

OpenStudy (raden):

u have to find the area of base, also its height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i did

OpenStudy (raden):

we knowed that the base like a hexagon. the area of hexagon is 6 * the area of a equilateral triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

56

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry i have not done volume in so long

OpenStudy (raden):

area of an equailateral triangle = 1/2 base height = 1/2 * 4 * 1/2 * 4 * sqrt(3) = 4 sqrt(3) then multiply by 6, we have area of base = 6 * 4sqrt(3) = 24 sqrt(3)

OpenStudy (raden):

now, we need the height of that pyramid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its 6

OpenStudy (raden):

6 is the slant height of face lateral, so it is not the height of pyramid
