-xˆ2 - 8x - 12 Step 1: Equal to zero -xˆ2 - 8x - 12 = 0 Step 2: Multiply by -1 to both sides of the equation to get all positive numbers. xˆ2 + 8x + 12 = 0 Step 3: Factorize (x + 2)(x + 6) = 0 Step 4: Take each term separately and solve for x: (x + 2) = 0 ==> x = -2 (x + 6) = 0 ==> x = -6 Solution: x = -2 or x = -6 Hope I helped!
but how does that work it is not supposed to be -x2 it is supposed to be x2 = 8x - 12
it is the answer is x+ - 6
Yeah @50_cent , either you did something wrong, or you did it a different method
