Find the range of the function f(x)= sqrt 12x+24 A. y≤12 B. y≥24 C. y≤0 D. y≥0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sqrt(12 x+24) a square root function becomes undefined if the quantity under the root is zero. i.e. sqrt(0)=undefined. So that is your only restriction; you have to find what values of x will make the quantity under the root zero. 12x+24=0 --> x=-2 So, all numbers other than -2 can be plugged in for x. -infinity < -2 < +infinity is the range

so my answer would be B right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Did you mean sqrt(12 x) + 24 cause then the answer is C y>=0

Oh sorry lol I mistaked that for another question hahah yes I ment to say C
