Volume of cylinder is V=pi r^2 h, where h is the height of the cylinder (in this case it's the length). Vcylinder=pi*r^2*(2r+4) Volume of a cube is l^3, where l is the length of a side. Vcube=(r*sqrt(2))^3 To get the fraction of the volume the cube takes up inside the cylinder you divide the two volumes. Vcylinder/Vcube --> [pi*r^2*(2r+4)]/[(r*sqrt(2))^3] Simplify to get (2*sqrt(2))/(pi*(2r+4)) nooooooooooob
