I NEED HELP NOW PLEASE find the equation of the hyperbola that passes through the point (1,sqrt3) and its asymptotes are y=2x and y=-2x

OpenStudy (amistre64):

im sure there are many ways that can me constructed, so either you have a set of options to compare with, or you just have to create one ....

OpenStudy (amistre64):

we can assume from the asymps that the center is at the origin to narrow it down a little

OpenStudy (amistre64):

when x=1, the asymps values are 2 and -2 .... and the hyper is sqrt3 which is less than 2 and greater than -2

OpenStudy (amistre64):

OpenStudy (amistre64):
