On a nice February day the temperature can be modelled by a cosine function A form of the function that models the temperature from midnight one day through to midnight the next day (ie 24 hours) is y = A cos B(x+C)+D The angle is given in degrees a) if the lowest temperature is 7 degrees Celcius and the highest temp is 29 degrees celcius at 3pm find the values of A, B, C and D to the give the exact equation for this model b) use your model to find the temp at midnight c) use your model to find the temp at mid day d) give one time when the temp is 20 degrees
