trying to write an essay for a physician assistant program application. I don't want to bore the committee and I need to be persuasive without sounding pushy and cocky. I'm an awful writer. How do I approach this essay?

Just a few things to know: When someone has given you a good answer to your question, it's a good idea to hit the 'best response' button and give them a medal for their trouble! If you could give some more specifics about your essay, then i would be better able to help you. can you post what you have?  (Use the "attach file" button.)  Or you can paste it into a response if you can't attach it. Or just a part of it that you're having trouble with. I could give you a few pointers.

Try to make it sound like you are available when it is convienent for them, and make it known that this is something that you are passionate about (if you are) but when doing so, try not to sound pushy or needy because that will turn the companies eye from you to another offer.
