Need some help please. Find the domain and range of the given relation. {(x,y) |y=5x , x is an odd integer between –5 and 3, inclusive}

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = 5x is the relation domain range x y -5 -25 -4 -20 -3 -15 -2 -10 -1 -5 0 0 1 5 2 10 3 15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now select odd values of x only and neglit the even values of x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So how do I find the range?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just keep getting more and more confused here.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let me try to explain :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u understand wat rizwan_uet said?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For the most part yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh wait! The domain is all the x's and the range is all the y's!! IS that correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh man! Feel like an idiot now... that was so much easier then it looks.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but x is an odd integer between –5 and 3 so u cannt use any of the even numbers in the domain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So what did he mean by "now select odd values of x only and neglit the even values of x"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh so I just do not write the ven numbers.. lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Does that mean I do not write the ranges for those x's as well?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea, i dont know y he included them..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and yes u dont right those

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I completely understand no thanks a bunch!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = 5x is the relation domain range x y -5 -25 -3 -15 -1 -5 1 5 3 15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is basically ur answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you guys for helping me :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ur welcome :)
