Please help I've been stuck on these two questions forever... Jason considered two similar televisions at a local electronics store. The generic version was based off the brand name and was the size of the brand name. If the generic television set is 12 inches by 24 inches, what are the dimensions of the brand name television? 18 inches by 36 inches 6 inches by 12 inches 16 inches by 32 inches 9 inches by 18 inches I know you multiply 3/4 on each dimension (12 inches by 24 ) but I don't get how. and 2nd tough question. I just need comformation would it be 5.5 x 10 = 55

A party company sells decorations for weddings, birthday parties, and other celebrations. A local high school is having their annual homecoming dance. In order to save money, the homecoming committee made stars congruent to those sold by the party company. One of these stars is shown below. If each side of the star sold by the party company is 5.5 inches, what is the perimeter, in inches, of each star made by the homecoming committee? Type the numeric answer only in the box below.

OpenStudy (ash2326):

@xoalybabyxo Sorry for responding late, Yes ! you are doing correctly the second question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OKay thank you! its fine

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know how to do the first one because I don't get that one

OpenStudy (ash2326):

For the first one, \[\text{"The generic version was based off the brand name and was}\]\[\text{ the size of the brand name."}\] So area of both the TV's would be same. Generic TV=12inch x 24 inch=288 inch^2 Now find the option, which has the same area

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait do I do 288 inch to the 2nd power? because none of them equal 288 inch

OpenStudy (ash2326):

Find the area for each option, one would be 288 !!
