For the longest time, I've been struggling in Chemistry. I have no idea how it is that you do chemical changes. I don't know how people can tell what makes up NaOH or H20. Obviously, H20 is water and it consists of 2 hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. However, I am just struggling so bad with this. Could you please tell me how to solve those types of problems. I need websites or something. I have searched online trying to really understand how it's done, but I don't and I'm struggling really badly. I've read through my Chemistry book but it doesn't have the explanations that I need.

OpenStudy (jfraser):

not trying to be rude, but what exactly are you asking? Is it turning names into formulas? is it types of reactions? what kind of problems do you need to solve?

OpenStudy (jfraser):

so you need the basics of chemical reactions?

OpenStudy (jfraser):

so you know that sodium chloride is NaCl, but magnesium chloride is MgCl2 because of the charges, right?

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

LOL:(

I knew people would just laugh at me.. I'm taking this question down.
