A cell phone company orders 500 new phones from a manufacturer. If the probability of a phone being defective is 2.9%, predict how many of the phones are likely to be defective. Round to the nearest whole number.

100 phones ---------> 2.9 phones deffective then what about 500 phone..........?

OpenStudy (ohmaigosshh):

First your going to turn 2.9% into a decimal, which gives you 0.026, then your going to multiply that by 500. Then you'll get your answer.
