It is a synthesis reaction . the reaction is called cellular respiration as it produces energy for the body to use for activity.
C6H12O6 + 6O2 --------> 6H2O + 6CO2 (+ ENERGY)
C6H12O6 + 6O2 - - - - - - -> 6CO2 + 6H20 + 38ATP
Glucose + oxygen -> carbon dioxide + water + energy

look at the question i asked
OpenStudy (frostbite):
Oxidation: Removal of hydrogen - addition of oxygen.
Reduction: Addition of hydrogen - removal of oxygen.
Take make a guess :)

what do you get?
OpenStudy (frostbite):
Well first of all I know that glucose is getting oxidized to carbon dioxide... guess the rest then ;)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
O2 is reduced? right?
OpenStudy (frostbite):
Right.

THANKS!

Remember that water is also reduced.

In a RedOx reaction there is both reduction and oxidation on both sides.
