A picture frame is shaped as a heptagon. The measure of one angle is 144°. The remaining interior angles are congruent. What is the measure of each remaining interior angle in the picture frame? answers; 126° 180° 174° 150°

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

Hepta means 7 so find the angle sum of the heptagon using the formula \[A = (n - 2) \times 180\] where n is the number of sides. since you know 1 angle is 144, subtract this from the answer above. Lastly, if the remaining angles are congruent, divide the angle sum - 144 by 6 to get the size of the other angles. because 7 sides, means 7 angles, and if you know 1, there are 6 that you don't know. hope this helps.

I got 756. Do i subtract 144 again or do I just divide it by 6?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

just divide 756 by 6 to get the size of the congruent angles.
