Micah paid $9 for 50 photos from the grocery store. Roland paid $12 for 60 photos from the drug store. 1. Write the ratios of the price paid per number of photos purchased for each store. 2. Do the ratios form a proportion? Explain.

OpenStudy (stamp):

ratio = something per something = thing / thing they desire price per photo = price / photo 1. Micah's price of $9 as a ratio to her 50 photos price / photo = $9 / 50 photos

and the next would be 12/60?

OpenStudy (stamp):

it would be $12 / 60 photos, you need your units.

How do I explain a proportion?

OpenStudy (stamp):

proportion is when a ratio = a ratio we have two ratios, micah's ratio and roland's ratio. does micah's ratio = roland's ratio? if so, they are a proportion.
