??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the area is base times height right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes for the parallelogram, triangles are 1/2bh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we trying to find the base and height of the parallelogram right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah I just don't know how to do it with the ratio

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well since the area is 135 we know that b times h = 135 so what two numbers multiply do we get 135?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5 & 27

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so does that match out ratio? I dont think so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know how to do the ratios!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it just states that thats the ratio between the answers. when we reduce B and H we get 5 an 3. for this problem the answer for b was 15 and h was 9. so when we reduce we get 5 and 3. get it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kinda

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait, but 5 * 9 doesn't equal 135, it equals 45?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

15 and 9 equals 135

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh! I read it wrong.. sorry!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its alright

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you help me with another one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure i can try

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay ill attach it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so lets take it step by step
