can somebody show me step by step how to find all the solutions for x^6 + 64 = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x^3 + 8)(x^3 - 8)

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Think of it like this: \[(x^2)^3+(4)^3\]

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Now factor it. It is the sum of two cubes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It shows that the answers are \[\pm2i , \sqrt{3}\pm i , -\sqrt{3}\pm i \] how would i do that?? Sorry this stuff confuses me so much..

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Did you factor it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how would you factor them if the first number is raised to two powers?
