what is the cause for the production of electrical signals in our body.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in the real world we the humans use generators for the production of electrical energy. But how our body is able to produce electric energy which is generally used for the transportation of signals. what is the source for it.

OpenStudy (koikkara):

Hmm.....read this post...... http://science.howstuffworks.com/life/human-biology/human-body-make-electricity.htm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In our brain and central neural system, the cells (like neurons in the brains, or in the nerves that are not cells but they use the same mechanisms) usr electric potential of their membranes to communicate and exchange informations. Some atoms like Ca or N are used in ionic forms to charge and decharge the membrane, what leads to a "cascade" of reactions, finally forming an electric signal. We don"t create electricity as some animals do (like those animals in the water which I forgot the name), but this is the way our neural system work. This is some tiny chemical reactions and light charge and decharge of travelling atoms. True beauty, it is.

And nerves are not cells in themselves but they are of course made of cells. I just realized what I said before is easily misunderstandable.
