Day 4: He has 81 pennies. His father triples it, so he has 243. Day 5: He has 243 pennies. His father triples it, so he has 729. Day 6: He has 729 pennies. His father triples it, so he has 2,187 Day 7: He has 2,187 pennies. His father triples it, so he 6,561. The total amount of pennies is 6,561.
