OpenStudy (jpsmarinho):

Find the electric field vector generate in point p(0,a) by a wire uniformly electrified with linear density equals to lambda above x axis. Consider as the vacumm means. The result in the exercise is ((2*k0*lambda )/a) *(j vector) But the result that I found is (K0*x*lambda)/(a*sqrt(x^2+a^2)) *(j vector) Thanks!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\lambda\) must be the charge density and not the current density and this is an "electrostatics problem" not dynamics..
