How do the uses of renewable resources compare to the uses of nonrenewable resources?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not sure if this belongs in Chemistry. But, renewable resources like solar, wind, water are much more eco-friendly and "green". However, they are not all widely available/ harder to harness, they don't produce as much energy and are more expensive to get. Nonrenewable resources on the other hand love to kill mother nature (coal, gas) and are much more available to us; all we need to do is dig a few holes. They are much cheaper and produces tons of energy. :D hope this helps. If you need any more help, just ask!
