help? http://prntscr.com/zhgnb

my teacher says it is not SSA congruent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it means that i got the part a wrong

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Its HL congruent. The two triangles are right triangles. The hypotenuse is the common side and the radii are the congruent legs.

OpenStudy (phi):

See http://library.thinkquest.org/20991/geo/crtri.html hypotenuse-leg

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and nothing else i s wrong in the answer

OpenStudy (phi):

FYI here is why SSA does not work http://www.mathopenref.com/congruentssa.html

OpenStudy (phi):

your explanation should be made clearer. The hypotenuse-leg postulate only works if you have right triangles. So you should say the tangent lines are at 90º to the radius, creating a right triangle. You should mention which line segment is the hypotenuse.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

PO is the hypotenuse
