What is the image of (1,-3) when reflected in the y-axis?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Whenever you reflect a point over the y-axis, you simply change the sign of the x coordinate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be 3,1?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Ex: (9, 7) ---> (-9, 7) (-2, -3) ---> (2, -3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*-3

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

the x and y coordinates don't flip or swap

OpenStudy (angela210793):

see just change the sign of ''x'' |dw:1365276124108:dw|
