Your answer is correct. However, we know about your picky teacher so I would say: A radius is perpendicular to a tangent at the point of tangency. So if AB is a tangent, it must be true that AOB is a right triangle and so the sum of the squares of the legs must equal the square of the hypotenuse. 7^2+3.75^2= 49+14.0625=63.0625 8^2= 64 Since 63.0625 is not equal to 64 AB is not a tangent.
