- In the war, women were seen positively as a motivating force to win the war - often used in propaganda to join the military ('She sent a man into the army, what about you?' and stuff like that.) Also, women were essential in filling important manufacturing jobs - like making bullets and replacing men who had gone off to war. Because of their manufacturing positions, they were viewed as important. These jobs led to greater independence for women, who started working white collar jobs rather than staying at home. This lead to greater education and advancement, very positive.
