I don't know if this is the right subject but I guess it's close enough: I do my back bends down the wall first because I haven't learned how to trust my self without the wall but how do I teach my back how to be more flexible to do the full back bend down the wall because I get stuck about two palms down to the floor! I am going to competitive cheer tryouts in the beginning of May and I have to learn how to do a back walkover and front walk over but first I have to learn how to do a back bend in order to do a back walk over...
Good luck with your tryouts! When I was in dance (oh so many years ago...) we would often do bridges. Instead of walking down the wall, just get into the position from the floor and arch your back as much as possible. That should help stretch it. Basically, lie on your back, put your hands by your head and arch. That's the easiest way I can think of to get your body used to that position
Thanks! I do that anyway! Haha! But I know that my sister can help me and I have friends supporting me! Also tryouts are just team placements so its no big deal! I'll get it either way but its better to know now because they could either stick me in level 1 or level 2 so I would just want to know! Haha! Thanks @kcbunny
