how can you change a cliche sentence into something more unique?
Sure.. pretty easy. What is it that you want transformed?
i just want a general way of changing it..any idea? let me think of one
Well, try reading variety, bringing archaic words in day to day usage... you know. If there's one writer you read to an extent of memorising, stop pickin' up his book.
It'll hit ya pretty much, sooner or later.
how about people turn into animals? how to change that cliche?
Here's an example, Red Indians believe Crow to be harbingers of the sun, in some eastern traditions, crows are bad omen, in some where a crows caw means guest arival... get with cliche, learn more traditions. Mix and match... there you go. You'll get what you want. Variety of though is what it takes to make a written piece.
hpw do you change this cliche: people turn into animals
As men scavenged their way to their roots.
"As caprice became the beast called men"
no i meant people are willing to fight and turn into animals to reach their priorities.
You know the moral of that movie, Apocalypto, right?
no lol
"Beast is the human to the core, as his self surfaces to him."
Otherwise, only you know what you want, and only you can find it.
so how would you change the cliche?
I gave you an example sentence, now, didn't I? You can pretty much, change the thing, the themeline, make a jungle of it... or better still, (I believe it a story) as, I always do. Dramatize the whole thing.
when you have a cliche, or any statement/sentence in literature even, its simply a notion expressed by a specific use of language (WORDS) words are powerful. examine the cliche, whatever it may be, and draw the overall message from it in your own words. aka, what the cliche is expressing: then all you havve to do is write that message/notion/ conveyed meaning as if it were your own... ps thesaurus will help you learn the power of words if you keep using it as you practice this
i hope that made sense!
yes thank you!
