The advantage is that it permits us to kill bacteria that harm our body and causes diseases.The disadvantage of antibiotics is that If you use too much antibiotics or in a insufficient period of time, it will not kill all the bacteria, leaving only the resistant type  of bacteria. So, in this way, you will be creating a super bacteria that cannot be killed with the same antibiotic.

advantage: killing bad bacteria, viruses that are attacking your body and immune system
disadvantage: sometimes the antibiotics not only kill the bad/harmful bacteria but as well as good bacteria that helps your body. for ex: bacteria in your gut/intestines have good bacteria to help but can be killed off because of antibiotics.
