What happens to the distance electrons travel when voltage is changed? a. Electrons will travel farther distances at higher voltage c. Electrons will travel shorter distances at lower voltage b. Electrons will travel farther distances at lower voltage d. None of the above

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a,because there is an increase in pumping action

OpenStudy (anonymous):

even though you cannot choose two answers, i am thinking its either the 1st or 2nd option...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"distance" is the term you created? does the actual question use? "velocity"?

OpenStudy (priths):

Terminal voltage or simply voltage is the work done by a charge to move from one terminal to another terminal through the external circuit .If the voltage is decreased then the work done is also decreased and so probably the distance is also decreased and that is why i would choose the option (c)Electrons will travel shorter distances at lower voltage
