hartnn (hartnn):

lim x--> 1 f(x) = f(1) which function will you use ? the one with x<0 or with x>0 ?

hartnn (hartnn):

**i meant which range will you use, there's only 1 function.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

both.

hartnn (hartnn):

both ? x=1 lies in which range ? x<0 or x>0 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

greater...

hartnn (hartnn):

yeah, so lim x--> 1 f(x) = f(1) = 3 (1+1) as simple as that!
