If the perimeter of a triangle is 30, find the longest side if a similar triangle has lengths of 14, 20 and 26.

Its been a while since ive done this sort of problem, but if i can remember correctly, you have to set up ratios. so 14+20+26 = 60 60:30 is the ratio for the entire perimeter. As you can see, the triangle that the sides are given is twice the size of the triangle you are looking for, this would mean that you take each side given, and divide by two to find the adjoining sides of the triangle with permeter 30.
