Replace the __ with the symbol that makes a true sentence. a.+ c.> b.< d.=

What is the equation with the blank that one has to go into? a) is a plus sign, so if the equation is 2 _ 4 = 6 then it would be the best choice. the next one is a greater than sign. It would be chosen if the problem were something like 6 _ 4 because the open end wants to eat the bigger value (something my teachers taught me a very long time ago but it has stuck nicely). The next one, <, is similar to the one before but it is for if the numbers were switched like 4 _ 6. D) is an equal sign. That would be for an equation where it was like 2 + 4 _ 6. If you put the actual equation, I'm more than happy to walk you through it

0.333333333333333 is simplified to 1/3. Which is bigger, 1/3 or 1/5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Or, you can look at it like 1/5 as a fraction is 0.2000000. Which is bigger then, 0.2000 or 0.333333? Whichever is bigger is the direction the open end will face.
