Does this sentence use the semicolon and the word "whether" correctly? "Our staff will make sure your dinner is perfect; whether it's the beef, chicken, or our delicious pork."

Mabe I'd feel better without the "it's". Does "Our staff will make sure your dinner is perfect, whether you choose the beef, chicken, or delicious pork" sound better?
