one way to determine is punch-in in the calculator. 11/8 is just 11 divided by 8. this one is \[\frac{ 11 }{ 8 }, \frac{ 7 }{ 4 },2\]By using my calculator, \[\frac{ 11 }{ 8 }=1.375\]\[\frac{ 7 }{ 4 }=1.75\]So by this, we know 1.75 is greater than 1.375
