Find the area of ΔAOB
@mathslover
\[\Large \text{area of sector} = \frac{\theta}{360} * \pi r^2\]
^
60/360 ?
right?
Forgetting something there mvrc... pi r^2
^
I was just saying for the first part and then its \[\frac{ 60 }{ 360} \pi 6^2\]
yeah?
but idk exactly how to solve it when I get to 60/360 pi36
Use a calc?
ik but then do I put 36 /1 and then multiply and divide?
Which calc do you have?
(60/360) * pi * (6)^2
3√3un2 4.5√3un2 9√3un2 theses are the choices it gives me. and I just have a regular one on the pc
hello?
please help @saifoo.khan
or @mathslover
@mvrc1996 what is 'un' there in the options?
maybe units
idk
The answer should be : \(6\pi \) but that is not given in the options. hmn
maybe its just 1/6 because its just asking for that section
Oh yeah we did a mistake @saifoo.khan
https://media.glynlyon.com/g_geo_2012/8/group103bb.gif now its asking for the shaded area
We found area of sector NOT the area of triangle. Area of triangle = Area of sector - Area of segmennt
how do I find the area of the segment?
I have to go mvrc .. it is 11:50 PM here.. sorry . THis will help u for sure : http://www.regentsprep.org/regents/math/geometry/GP14/CircleSectors.htm @hartnn @AravindG and @amistre64 - any of these can help u mvrc. Good luck
thank you
