OpenStudy (waheguru):

What is the y-intercept in this equation y = (2 x – 9)(x + 2)

OpenStudy (waheguru):

I don't know what to do because of the 2x - 9 what happends to the 2

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

The y-intercept is the point where the graph crosses the y-axis. On the y-axis, every point has x-coordinate of zero. Simply let x = 0, and solve for y.

OpenStudy (waheguru):

In my notes I have -9/2(2) but When I graph it i am getting -18?

OpenStudy (ladiesman217):

thats correct the y intercept is -18
