I think B decomposed the least since decomposition produces heat and B shows the lowest overall temperature.

Transpirational pull will be interupted and no water or nutrients can be transported to the leaves resulting in the partionally or entire mortification of a tree. This means that a part of the tree or the whole will die. This depents on how severe the cut is. If a deep cut is made, a few to many branches can die.
