Does this make sense? Hola, mi nombre es Amelia. Soy una mitad dominicana. Soy dies y siete anos. No soy muy alta, y tenga pela marron. Me gusta la escuela y soy en la clase de anatomia. Me gusta estudiar el cuerpo humano, y quiero ser doctora. No me gusta la gente perezosa. Mi comida favorita es el pomelo, porque es saludable.

I would like to know if I used proper grammar, etc.

Yeah, there are a few things I can point out for you.

1. When we want tell someone our name, we start with "Me llamo."

Such as...."Me llamo Amelia."

2. When we want to tell someone our age, we start with "Yo tengo."

Such as...."Yo tengo diecisiete (17) años.

And yes,
"decisiete" means "seventeen."

3. When we want to say "I have,"
we say "tengo."

Even if you are a female, you would say "tengo."
Because verbs do not change, based on gender.

("Tenga" is a completely different word.)

4. Whenever we want to explain our location, by telling someone where we are,
we say "estoy."

Such as...."Yo estoy en una clase de ciencias." (I am in a science class.)

Well I said: Quiero ser doctora (And It's fine..) It's true that is used for professors but you can also say it (Médico too).
And médica... well i don't like it and we say more Ella es médico (I've never said Ella es médica) But maybe now it is accepted

*Another thing: It's soy mitad dominicana (without una)
