In general:
-A virus consists of a protein coat with a DNA molecule. 
-They attach to a host cell
-They inject the DNA molecule
-The viral DNA is incorporated into the host cell DNA
-The host cell will now synthesize viral DNA and protein for the coat
-The coats are assembled and DNA is packed in the coat
-The host cell will be destroyed and the new viruses will release to each find a new host cell

they kill cells and antibodies and keep reproducing so eventually the immune system(body) is unable to fight off the virus and it continues to spread and become empowered
