the ratio of the circumferences of two circles is 2:3. If the large circle has a radius of 39 cm, what is the radiusof the small circle??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The formula for a circumference of a circle is 2*pi*r. The ratio means that for every 3 cm the large circle has in circumference, the small one only has 2 cm. I would set it up like this: |dw:1365542265610:dw| You can then solve for rsm (meaning radius of the small circle)
