Think about the word "outlier" out means not with and lier means far away and concealed. Which of these numbers is not like the others?
First, put them in Numerical order.
0.2 is the outlier
You are supposed to help them @arianadarsh not just give them the answer. They will not learn anything if you just give it to them. That's like going to college and you get your degree on the first day.
can you chill? I don't know how to explain. The person probably knows what it means but its hard to identify
@JohnnyCowCow
I am not angered in any way I am just saying. You help them identify.
@arianadarsh
Outlier has a definition in Quantitative Literacy. If an Answerer gives the definition of the Outlier, then the Asker will know how to find one. To simply say, "An outlier lies out" is vague. And, do remember the Code of Conduct for OpenStudy. We are not here to dole out answers. OpenStudy values the Learning process - not the ‘Give you an answer’ process •Don’t post only answers - guide the asker to a solution. >> I don't know how to explain. The person probably knows what it means but its hard to identify If the Asker knew the definition of "outlier," would the Asker have posted this question? And, if an Answerer does not know how to explain, should the Answerer reply to the question?
