What are the dimensions of the largest 30 - 60- 90 degrees triangle that will fit inside a 45 - 45 - 90 degrees triangle with leg length 14 in. ? Sketch the Solution
Anyone wanna help?? @saifoo.khan @TuringTest @timo86m @qweqwe123123123123111
Which leg on which triangle is 14"?
Im guessing one side of both triangles overlap eachother, maybe thts the one thts 14 ??
Don't you have a diagram?
Nope :(
@wio @wach @Compassionate @iluvreading @Henry.Lister @HawkCrimson @Hoa @Hayden14 @e.cociuba @dmezzullo @freethinker @dpaInc @SnuggieLad Can Someone Please Help Me ??
Wait did you not get a result last time?
Nope... LOL
Oh really?
http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/5164bf08e4b066fca660bfa9 ^second time this question was posted.
Yes really!! @terenzreignz Y did U come back?! Gosh u annoy me...
As flordia virtual calles them "special triangles"
Can someone really help me??
It's what I do best. I would just like to point out that the answer only required you to substitute 14 for x in that last step... which you said you didn't feel like doing...
I can sort of help.
Please!!
But if @SnuggieLad Wants to have a go. Feel free.
|dw:1365559853411:dw| now work it out
work what out?
Could you just draw it to scale and measure it?
first you need to do the work youself @LizzyLove<3 I can tell you right now...If you save his picture above and submitt it you will be caught for plagerism... Your school automatically runs EVERYTHING through subission checkers to make sure they YOUR work and not offline...that being said...you will get your tail in the fire of your school
^^^ I didn't do the answer. I just drew a diagram.
I cant, and i wouldnt submitt tht, it's in school. Yea, he didnt right the answer...
Try not to rely on drawing things to scale, @Henry.Lister It's too subject to human error :(
*write
ok...i just glanced at it...she mass tagged so i am trying to tell her she cant get answers from us cause of the code of conduct
I agree. But for a basic perception, and then you can work from there.
I just need u to walk me through it.... I dont want the answer, thank you very much :)
Ok lizzy :) I will help then... Do you know what a leg of a triangle is?
Could you do something with ratios? Like if you matched the 1 to the 1 in the exact angle triangles and then the 1 to the root3?
yes, i do.
I would reccomend using the open source program GeoGebra...this is a computerized graphing tool... http://www.geogebra.org/cms/

1:1 and 1:root3
But then the problem arises that the 60 degree angle doesnt fit inside the 45.
@jim_thompson5910 did that, @SnuggieLad turns out the largest triangle is a bit off... http://assets.openstudy.com/updates/attachments/5164b446e4b066fca660ba24-jim_thompson5910-1365556079468-49201360737pm.png
you can use what you make there as your sketch...i will leave you and henry alone. he seems to have this one! Good on ya henry!
I dont. But ill give it my best shot.
Its fine, just give me what u got bro @Henry.Lister
|dw:1365560896429:dw| Which one would give the bigger area @terenzreignz
