Maltose can be broken down into glucose molecules by the enzyme maltase. Which of the following would slow the reaction rate? A. adding maltase B. adding maltose C. removing glucose D. diluting it with water

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If we added water, then the water would force all the molecules to spread further apart. When the molecules are spread further apart, they don't touch each other as often. And what that does is slow down the reaction. Because reactions happen when molecules touch one another, and react. Does that make sense?
